Yes. This is happiness! I have sent my passport to the Canadian Embassy in Manila (CEM) today, March 30.
It was last Friday, March 27, when I received the Passport Request (PPR) email from CEM around 8:30am. They are requesting my passport (only mine since I am a single applicant), passport photos (following photo specifications), and filled-up Appendix A (personal info including delivery address). I didn’t waste any minute and prepared all the requirements so that I’ll be able to send all these documents to the embassy within the morning.
Good thing I already prepared the photos. The specs are the same with that of the photo requirement during the initial lodging of application to the Centralized Intake Office (CIO) in Nova Scotia. This is one good lesson I learned in my 8 months of visa waiting. Prepare. Prepare. Prepare. For the passport, this must be at least six (6) months beyond the visa validity date. Thank God expiry date of my passport is until 2017. Lastly, I filled-up the Appendix A: name, birth place, passport number, marital status, height, eye color, telephone number, email address, and the address where you want your visa(s) be returned back. Do not forget to put your signature. It is the last most important part. All documents are sealed in a hard-bound envelope.
I was late of 20 minutes for the 1-day delivery service by 2GO. Their cut-off is 11am for delivery on the afternoon. Thus I decided to have my documents delivered via LBC Express. I utilized their service for my RPRF payment delivery also. Below is the complete delivery address.
To: Embassy of Canada, Visa Section / Unit B
Level 6, Tower 2, RCBC Plaza
6819 Ayala Avenue
Makati City 1226
I told the teller to deliver it on Monday since the embassy is closed during weekend.
And finally at 2:21pm today, my golden envelope was received by SG Beronia, a representative from CEM. I am thanking the good Lord for all these. 🙂
